CAT July General Meeting and Picnic

July 23 @ 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Please join us for the July CAT General Meeting and Picnic. The Cash’s have generously offered to host this at their home in Sherwood.

Fun Run will be from 2-5 pm. We’ll have nested Standard courses at AKC Novice / Open Levels, plus some opportunities for distance work and some fun games as time allows. Random Contests! Random Prizes!

Run order Small > Tall.

We want everyone to get a chance to run, and we hope for a large turn-out, so please plan accordingly. We will let everyone run once as able before they run a second dog or run again.

I realize many of you come from a distance (OK, I’m not in this group), so please get there by 3:45 if you wish to run – – Thank you!!

Safety is our primary concern. We’ll have a huge crowd, including novice dogs and reactive dogs. Please watch your dog’s head at all times and be aware of who’s around you.

We will have dedicated IN / OUT paths from the barn and the arena itself. Please respect these directions for safety. ~ Thank You!

Crating space is limited inside the barn. You may bring crates (no X-pens, please) into walkway and a few into 1-2 stalls only. If weather is cool enough, please plan to crate from your vehicles as we cannot accommodate everyone. Loudly barking dogs, please do not crate in the barn.

Shade Tents can be set up behind the barn.

Parking will be in the designated space in the field. Please respect cones and park accordingly.

Volunteers are needed to help with many aspects of fun run set-up and throughout.

I need 1-2 folks to help set parking zones, need to arrive by 1:30. Done with task by 2:15.

I need 1-2 people to help with sign-ins and finishing course set-up, need to arrive by 1:30. Done by 2.

I need everyone to help with ring crew tasks and Gate Steward throughout. I’ll Gate but am running 2 16″ dogs also and want to meet prospective members. If anyone can sign up for Gate for a 20 min slot, you’re my BFF for life.

This is a great opportunity to learn how to perform certain Trial jobs in a no-pressure setting.

Please e-mail me directly about jobs and to sign up. Thanks for letting me count on you!!

If you’re interested in helping Paula Cash with picnic stuff, please do e-mail her directly (cc’d on this e-mail).

Questions, ready to volunteer, concerns, please e-mail me: LSivak@hotmail.com

Thanks in advance!

Looking forward to seeing you all at the fun run and picnic!!
