Remembering Rachel Tennant

  • March 2, 2016

It is with great sadness that we share the tragic news of long time CAT member, Rachel Tennant‘s untimely passing. Rachel died last Thursday of a pulmonary embolism after being hospitalized recently.

Many of you will remember Rachel and her Boxers, Harry Potter, Lexi and Biz. Rachel was beyond passionate about Boxers.

When Harry Potter became ill with cancer I asked Rachel how she was able to deal with a disease so prevalent in Boxers, her breed of choice. She told me she was a veterinarian, Boxers were her breed, and she would take care of them. End of story. That was Rachel.

Rachel loved playing agility with her dogs and will be missed greatly by the agility community.

There will be no services, as that was Rachel‘s wish.

However, if you wish to remember Rachel, with a contribution to a fund we are creating in her name, to the American Boxer Charitable Foundation, for Boxer Health Research,  you can send your donation to them.

This is their home page which also has links to donate.  It explains more about how the organization got started and their mission.
You can make donations in Rachel‘s name directly to the organization through the following link. They accept online payments as well as mailed in donations. We will have a can for donations at our upcoming trials and you can also mail them to me if you would like them to remain anonymous.  Please send it directly to the organization for a tax deduction receipt.
